Registration for the Jizerská 50 is starting

[01. 07. 2010]  It may still be summer in the Jizerské Mountains for a few more months, but it’s time to start thinking about winter, and about the first weekend in January. Why is it important? On January 7 -9, 2011, the 44th annual Jizerská 50 will be taking place, and you can start registering today. Registration is possible for all races at an advantageous price until the end of September.

Start lists will be updated regularly from August 1, 2010.

The traditional menu for the weekend in the Jizerské Mountains will otherwise be unchanged. On Friday, January 7, the Bedřichovská 30 will be awaiting all patrons of skate skiing, and it starts at precisely 2.00 pm. You can purchase your starting number for 500 CZK until the end of September, 800 CZK by the end the 2010, and 1,000 CZK if you purchase it on location on the day of the event.

Children’s races will be taking place on Saturday morning in Bedřichov – the shortest race will be 300 metres, and this race is intended for children to the age of five. Twelve year-old children can look forward to a 3 kilometre race, and the Jizerská ČSOB Corporate Pension Fund race for four-member relay teams will take place on Saturday afternoon.

The main event will be taking place on Sunday, January 9. The 44th annual Jizerská 50 will be starting at 9:00 am, and you can register for this race by the end of September for 900 CZK, by the end of the year for 1,300 CZK, and it you wait to pay on location on the day of the start, it will cost you 1,600 CZK. The 25 km race is planned to start at 10:15 am with the following order for starting fees: 700 CZK – 1,000 CZK – 1,300 CZK.

Online registration at www.jiz50.cz will be possible until December 31, 2010 – the best price for the starting fee will be available until September 30. An important change has occurred with regard to the starting fee, which must be paid within three days of registration. If it is not paid within the three days, the registration will be cancelled.
